  7. RAMSTOR is a high speed, 5 1/4-inch form factor RAMDISK. RAMSTOR reduces
  8. average access time to 0.5 milliseconds (including SCSI command overhead), and
  9. offers transfer rates up to 5 MB per second. RAMSTOR products utilize high
  10. density DRAMs, eliminating the seek, latency, and electro-mechanical delays
  11. associated with conventional disk drives. Although RAMSTOR appears to the
  12. computer as a standard disk drive, RAMSTOR outperforms disk drives in speed,
  13. reliability, and environmental tolerance. Emulating the command set of a disk
  14. drive, RAMSTOR supports the SCSI ANSI Standard and the SCSI Common Command Set.
  15. RAMSTOR implements the latest solid-state technology, allowing operation in
  16. environments of high altitude, shock vibration, and temperature. For
  17. applications requiring file sharing capabilities, Western Automation also
  18. offers the dual port RAMSTOR.
